No refrigeration required, even after opening. Solid at room temperature. Naturally melts and becomes liquid at 24°C. Returns to solid when cooled.
Does not contain gluten, soya, yeast, dairy, sugar or salt.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Ideal for adding to salad dressings and smoothies, as a spread or can be taken by the tablespoon; we recommend 1-4 tablespoons per day. Great for raw food diets.
Use in place of butter or other cooking oils for baking of frying in temperatures up to 180°C.
For Skin Care
Use as a moisturising lotion. Place jar in warm water to liquefy and then massage small amounts onto the skin.
For Hair Care
Use as a conditioner. Place jar in warm water to liquefy and then apply 2 teaspoons to hair 1 to 2 hours before washing.
Coconut Oil is a healthy alternative to 'bad' fats
It is now widely understood by the medical and scientific communities that many of our health problems are caused by 'damaged' fats created through a process called 'hydrogenation'. This heat process used to create vegetable oils, particularly margarines, is known to have a detrimental effect on health, and has been associated with serious conditions like heart disease. Nature's Way Coconut Oil does not contain any hydrogenated fats - just pure, expeller pressed oil.
A rich source of medium-chain fatty acids
Another unique feature of coconut oil is that it is made up of medium-chain fatty acids. Most vegetable or seed oils are made up of long chain fatty acids, which consist of large molecules that your body finds difficult to break down, resulting in them being stored largely as fat. The fatty acids in coconut oil however, are much smaller, so they are more easily broken down and utilised as an energy source. This means that the fat in coconut oil is used for immediate energy, rather than being stored as fat in your body!
A cold pressed, unrefined food-grade oil
Nature’s Way Coconut Oil is ‘cold pressed’ by means of mechanical extraction so it does not contain any residue chemicals or solvent extracts, resulting in a premium quality food-grade oil. This virgin process preserves the quality and integrity of the fresh coconuts it is made from, and unlike refined coconut oils, avoids further heat processing, refining and bleaching which can rob the oil of certain beneficial vitamins and minerals. Nature's Way Coconut Oil does not undergo any heating in the manufacture process. Nature’s Way Coconut Oil is also certified organic and does not contain any genetically modified ingredients.
